Our Focus

Our program is structured to improve academic achievement, particularly in the areas of Science and Math. To enable continuous improvement, our Academic Excellence Committee, made up of parents, educators, and after-school program implementors within our community meets quarterly to review our programs and student performance.

Additional Information

Raising the Bar

Unlike other programs, our structure follows a cohesive theme to provide real-world applications. We complete at least one hands-on project every week, usually several. Our program completes with a final project that each member has worked on, incrementally, throughout. Each week we serve a light lunch.
Working on projects within the community teaches us about Gaston County and helps to develop strong ties to our area. In addition, students are able to showcase their skills and highlight impactful community projects on college and scholarship applications.
